Job Title / Industry: Operations Manager / Food Distribution Critical Issue: Stock management function newly outsourced to a third party. Customer needed to track on a continual basis what orders were fulfilled and what current inventory levels were. They also needed to communicate new sales orders / order changes to the outsourced warehouse. Reasons: Sales Order personnel needed visibility on current stock levels in order to place new orders. Customer service required order fulfilment status information. Purchasing required stock information for ordering. Capabilities Needed: On line transfer of data between customers Microsoft Dynamics sales and stock system and third party warehouse management system. What we provided: Capability to upload of new / changed sales orders to the warehouse system. Download of stock levels and order shipping history. Result: - Uninterrupted business flow following outsourcing of inventory management.
